This is our third week for 6 Good Things! We are so excited to share all the little ounces of joy we experience this week! Thanks for tuning in!
Kim is not only the world's super boss, but she's a super mama. Her littlest son celebrate his 5th birthday this week, sporting his birthday t shirt and getting to pick out his favorite meal for dinner. We loved getting to hang out with the birthday boy and Kim loved celebrating him!
Uncle Mick's Cajun Restaurant in Prattville, AL steals Josh every time he's in the area. He even provided the whole office with a meal just a few weeks ago and we still can't get over their red beans and rice. Josh says they are the best in business, and after trying their potato salad, we all agree! If you're in the Prattville area, you should give them a try!
Megan is always coming to work wearing the best style and she really loves a good pair of sunglasses. Quay Sunglasses, an Austrailian company are her top choice! You can order the glasses online or find them in Montgomery at Dilliards. Megan loves that they are fashionable and affordable compared to other big brands! Check them out!
Montgomery local restaurants are some of the staff favorites, but Brooke love's NYC Gyro so much that they named a menu item after her! You can go by NYC gyro and have the Brooklyn Platter (specifically named after Brooke) for lunch. It's a must have menu item! While you're there, say hello to Syed, who makes the NYC experience incredible. Brooke says, "He is one of the friendliest and most generous business owners I know!"
The picture above is of Tono & Co hand dyed fabric, some of Kara's favorite. She loves the soft colors and the raw torn detailed edging that keep it elegant and beautiful. Kara loves how their ribbon color combinations tell a story, every color complimenting the other, different in their own way but all in the same color family. The fabric is 100% silk with a slight crinkle texture that gracefully drapes.
I (LJ) love to read and write. I am a sucker for southern memoirs and stories from the past. Rick Bragg is my favorite author and Pulitzer Prize winner. His book, All Over But The Shoutin' changed everything about writing for me. I could read that book over and over. If you like to read or even if you detest it, I think this book would win anyone over. Inspiring and entertaining!
We hope you enjoyed this week's 6 Good Things. Stay tuned for next week!
